The pinion angle is not static while driving. Match the pinion angle to the tailshaft angle. 3º/3º is good, coils or leafs. This is how I've been setting them up for the last 25-years. This doesn't sound like a lot, but using some fixtures I made and a laser alignment system, I was able to measure this misalignment and add some stainless steel shims to the rear end at the suspension to correct this problem.
