WebUnlike industrial by-products, such as silica fume (SF), fly ash, and blast-furnace slag, MK is refined carefully to lighten its color, remove inert impurities, and control particle size. This well-controlled process results in a highly reactive white powder that is consistent in appearance and performance. http://www.ce.memphis.edu/1101/notes/concrete/PCA_manual/Chap03.pdf
WebMar 1, 2010 · This work investigates ternary blends of fly ash, silica fume and Portland cement using an extensive range of mixes: fly ash from 5% to 30%, and silica fume at 2.5%, 5% and 10%. Fresh properties, in terms of the setting time of cement paste and the workability of the ternary blend concrete, were investigated. http://www.ycsilicafume.com/news/silica-fume-vs-fly-ash
Web2.2 Fly ash: Fly ash is a residue of combustion processes taking place in power plants and the fine particles are caused due to rise in flue gas. This fly ash due to small size and density is found to in-crease the tensile strength and durability to a greater extent and also has binding properties.
